Homework

Middle Syndicate students are expected to complete homework each day.
Homework consists of:

Your child's book will have a weekly note that let's you know what we are covering in class. Please feel free to contact your child's teacher with any questions you might have.

Mathematics - basic facts and Mathletics . On occasion teachers may include an activity, worksheet or problem related to in class learning.

Reading - reading every night. Students are expected to record what they are reading in their reading logs and make a brief comment.

Spelling - Spelling words are taken form Monday's spelling List test. Students choose 10 words that they spelt incorrectly in the test to learn before Friday's list test. If they do not have 10 incorrect words they are to select their words from their spelling set words. The teachers will provide the phonics students with their words.

Homework is due in on Friday mornings so that it can be marked by teachers over the weekend. Students who do not hand in their books on time may not have their books marked for that week.
